Courtesy Citybizlist – Days after Joe Flacco led Baltimore Ravens to the Super Bowl victory, the player’s agent is upping the ante in his bid to install him as the highest-paid quarterback in the game, The Baltimore Sun reported.
Joe Linta acknowledged he wants Flacco, who scored three touchdown passes in Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans and emerged the MVP, to be paid more a record-tying postseason.
Although contract negotiations between the Ravens and Flacco have not resumed after an unsatisfactory round in August, the elite asking price for the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player isreportedly a multi-year contract exceeding New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees’ annual average of $20 million.
