Just five months after opening, a downtown Baltimore restaurant has closed.
Fruition at 135th, which offered “elevated social dining,” opened at the end of March at 135 E. Baltimore St.
“Fruition at 135th may be exiting, but this isn’t goodbye,” the restaurant’s owners wrote in an Instagram post.
They hinted that they have plans for a new endeavor.
“As this chapter comes to a close, we’re carrying everything you loved about Fruition into something just as special,” they wrote. “A new chapter is coming.”
The space that the restaurant occupied in the Alex Brown & Sons building, which had been vacant since 2024, was previously home to Zander’s.
Fruition’s owners thanked customers and community members for their support.
“What we created at Fruition was more than a restaurant, it was an experience filled with unforgettable moments, meaningful connections, celebrations, and continued support from everyone who walked through our doors,” they wrote.
