On Thursday, July 11 from 4-9pm, join the Maryland Wineries Association for their inaugural local hard cider and mead event, locapour: drink local. The event will be held at the Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture & Farm Park in the tree-lined all.

Five Maryland cider and mead producers will be in attendance, including: Great Shoals Winery, Linganore Winecellars, Millstone Cellars, Distillery Lane Ciderworks, and Orchid Cellar Winery. Adult tasting passes are $20 in advance and $25 at the entrance. Non-tasting passes are $10. Cider and mead can be purchased by the glass, bottle, and case.

Local food vendors will be on hand serving up Maryland style cuisine, including: crab cakes, roasted chicken, BBQ, and local ice cream from Prigel Family Creamery. The event will also boast live music and local artisans, including the popular Unwined Candles.

In addition to the adult activities, the event is also family friendly. Farmer Stan will be on hand providing tours of the chicken coop, making kettle corn, and offering pony rides. There will also be a small petting zoo. Children under 8 are free.

Coming out to the country from the city? A complimentary shuttle from the Hunt Valley Light Rail will take you to the event. Parking is also available onsite.
