Adam Davies’ photographs show sparse, desolate public spaces like the columns of a bridge or a bend in the road in stark ways. In the new exhibit “Reroutings,” his architectural and landscape photographs will be displayed in a “monumental” size, 5-by-6 feet, and the gallery will have darkened walls and curtains for a more immersive experience. As an added bonus, Alex Zhang Hungtai, best known for the crooning lo-fi project Dirty Beaches, will perform electronic music in response to the pictures. And it’s all free.
Gallery opening reception starts at 6 p.m., Alex Zhang Hungtai performance at 7:30 p.m., Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Ave., (410) 276-1651, creativealliance.org, free.
