In the delirium of Artscape, the room inside Pen & Quill with wall-to-wall plants and lights hanging from the ceiling may appear like some sort of mirage. But it is in fact real, a tropical oasis in the middle of all the art, vendor tents and food stands.
Go inside and grab a seat amid the plants adorning the room, courtesy of B. Willow. Peruse the list of cocktails, a collaboration between Baltimore Whiskey Company, Lyon Distilling and Pen & Quill. Sit back and relax with your drink as the festival bustles outside–or, if the forecast holds, everything is getting soaked in the rain. After a few libations, it may even be time to try the limbo.
To mark the final day for the Island Room, the pop-up’s collaborators are celebrating Christmas in July and giving their drinks a special Xmas twist. Around the holidays we’re told it’s better to give than receive, but this is still July, and to quote “Parks and Recreation,” Treat. Yo. Self.
