You know all the words from โ€œGreaseโ€ already, to songs like โ€œSummer Nights,โ€ โ€œGreased Lightnin’โ€ and โ€œWe Go Together.โ€ Maybe you even sing them in the shower or anytime you come across the movie, and maybe people shoot you some side-eye like youโ€™re crazy. It could be because you are, but it also could be all the songs are stone-cold classics and โ€œchang chang changitty chang sha-bopโ€ just rolls off the tongue.

Tonight, the Senator Theatre invites โ€œGreaseโ€ lovers to watch the film and unabashedly sing along with the music. As this trailer shows, this special edition is a lot like those old Disney videos with the bouncing ball tracing the lyrics. Not that you need the guidance.

Anyone else wishing to celebrate the musicalโ€™s 40th anniversary who cringes at the thought of a full theater of people singing/shouting the words to โ€œYouโ€™re the One That I Wantโ€ is encouraged to attend a screening of the theatrical version on June 24-26.

7:30 p.m., The Senator Theatre, 5904 York Road, (410) 323-4424, thesenatortheatre.com, $10, seniors and children $9.
