There’s still about a month to go before five-piece indie rock outfit Super City drops the much-anticipated “Sanctuary,” the band’s successor to their 2015 debut album “Again Weekend.” But fans of the genre-melding group have already gotten a taste of what’s to come with the promising fuzzed-out, hypnotic title track.
Tonight offers a first glance at the accompanying music video for “Sanctuary,” and anyone who saw the expertly choreographed one for “Artificial Sin” knows this will almost surely be a spectacle. This is also one of two remaining dates to watch Super City live—others include a show with the Radiographers down at Gypsy Sally’s in D.C. later this month, and the band’s album Sept. 29 album release show at Ottobar—before they head out on tour for the fall.
Playing Motor House’s Showroom, they’ll will be joined by Los Angeles indie rockers Mammoth Indigo and Baltimore’s own Micah Wood and Which Magic, making for a packed lineup of sounds ranging from the shoegaze-y to the funky.
9 p.m.-midnight, Motor House, 120 W. North Ave., (410) 637-8300, event website, $8.
