Nearly three months have passed since Roll Ice Cream & Coffee began dishing out its confections, but given that it’s not going to be freezing today, it’s as fine a time as any for a grand opening celebration.
Located a stone’s throw from the Creative Alliance on Eastern Avenue in Highlandtown, Roll specializes in, as its name subtly implies, rolled ice cream. Per Facebook event, “there’ll be free tastes, giveaways, discounts, and more.” The afternoon will begin with a free “lil cup” of ice cream for the first 20 people who get there (starting at noon), and include coloring for kids (with a free coupon), a performance by the OrchKids, and a “brain freeze” ice cream eating contest starting at 4 p.m. (check-in at 3:30 p.m.) One lucky soul will also win free ice cream for a year.
All-ages, runs noon to 5 p.m. Roll Ice Cream & Coffee, 3222 Eastern Avenue, 443-595-7655, facebook.com/rollbmore.
