With some delay, spring is finally here. What better way to usher the warmer weather in than with some fried Oreos, prizes and a lineup of nauseatingly fun thrill rides?
If the time-honored tradition of junk food, carnival games and playing with gravity is your cup of tea, you’re in luck: The Eastpoint Mall Carnival has returned. The fair opened on Wednesday, and tonight marks the first Friday of the roughly two-week long attraction in Dundalk.
If you’ve been before (or if carnival operator Jolly Shows has come through your hometown), you’re familiar with the joys of being tossed around by the horizontally swinging Scrambler, the plummeting Samurai or, for the more adventurous, the chaotically spinning Zipper. For the more faint-hearted, there’s always the big slide, the Tea Cups, shooting and tossing games and, of course, funnel cake and assorted goodies.
If you miss it tonight, the carnival is running daily through Sunday, April 15.
Pricing: $2 admission for all ages, ride tickets available in bulk (30 for $40, 50 for $60—three to five tickets per ride, for reference), wristbands for unlimited rides $27 Monday-Thursday, $30 Friday-Sunday.
Open 6-11 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-11 p.m. Saturday and 3-11 p.m. Sunday; 7839 Eastpoint Mall, more info here.
