The Thrift Boutique in Dundalk has signed a lease for a warehouse space at the Golden Ring Business Center as it plans to add more retail locations.

The value-priced retail store signed a lease with Hill Management Services, Inc. for a 3,600-square-foot space within the 135,000-square-foot warehouse/industrial building at 7110-7130 Golden Ring Road.

The Thrift Boutique collects pre-owned apparel, footwear, household goods, and other items, which it then resells to customers to help reduce waste from entering landfills. The store also assists families in Baltimore City and Baltimore County with clothing and basic household essentials in an effort to “pay it forward,” according to a news release.

Greek-American entrepreneur Lazaros Giannos, who immigrated to the United States in 2008, started The Thrift Boutique out of his home garage.

After his venture outgrew that space, Giannos opened a brick-and-mortar store at 1589 Merritt Blvd. in Dundalk last year.

As The Thrift Boutique’s popularity has continued to grow, Giannos said he hopes to open at least five more stores over the next five years, including a second location this year.

The new warehouse space will be used to store overflow inventory to be displayed at The Thrift Boutique’s existing store in Dundalk, as well as facilitate the business’s further expansion in Baltimore County.

“We chose Golden Ring Business Center because it is centrally located within our desired expansion footprint,” Giannos said in a statement. “Our current location does not have adequate storage and this warehouse will help us properly organize and sort products, and significant[ly] contribute to our plan to scale our operations.”

The three single-story buildings have 18- to 21-foot high ceiling, as well as a rear dock and drive-in loading docks.

Andrew Beyrodt of Hill Management Services represented the landlord in this transaction.

“The Thrift Boutique is a highly-popular retail concept and Golden Ring Business Center fulfills the storage requirements needed for the shop to maintain its robust activities and expand,” said Danielle Beyrodt, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hill Management Services, in a statement.
