Eyewear and eye care retailer Warby Parker plans to open a store at the Village of Cross Keys in the late fall of this year.

The company has signed a lease to occupy an approximately 1,500-square-foot space on the east side of Village Square. It will be located next to Ruxton Mercantile, which opened October 2024, and the courtyard of Cece’s Roland Park, which opened in June 2024.

“Warby Parker is a brand that will appeal strongly to the Cross Keys customer,” said Arsh Mirmiran, the partner at Caves Valley Partners leading the development of Cross Keys, in a statement. “The stores combine fashion and a sense of community, which fits perfectly with our vision for Cross Keys. We look forward to having them open in time for the holidays.”

Founded in 2010, Warby Parker provides a range of eyewear products. Customers are able to order glasses frames to try on at home, send back, and finally receive prescription lenses in the frame of their choice.

The retailer offer designer-quality glasses, starting at $95, as well as contact lenses, eye exams, vision tests.

“Warby Parker at Cross Keys will feature our full assortment of eyeglasses and sunglasses, contact lenses, accessories, comprehensive eye exams, and more,” the company said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to expand our presence in the heart of Baltimore, where Warby Parker can be a one-stop shop for all eye care needs.”

Warby Parker also has a “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program where for every pair of glasses sold, the company also distributes a pair of glasses to someone in need.

Other recent additions to the Village of Cross Keys include Ruth Shaw, which returned to Cross Keys in April, and Nine Tailed Fox, a Chinese restaurant concept from Atlas Restaurant Group that opened in July.

Cross Keys also features Williams Sonoma, Bluemercury, Yves Delorme, Always Ice Cream Company, Cece’s Roland Park, Easy Like Sunday, Kneads Bakeshop & Café, Luna Oaxaca, and ZaVino Italian Marketplace.

Pilates House, a boutique Pilates studio, is slated to open there in September.
