CHX, a fast-casual chicken tender restaurant that started in Minneapolis, MN in 2020, but later shuttered, is restarting its brand in Locust Point. CHX, which is a concept from longtime friends Shawn Edwards and Frederick Huballa, will open at 1724 Whetstone Way at McHenry Row.

The 3,415 sq. ft. retail space is controlled by ITA Group Holdings, the owners of Fat Patties, which closed in December. CHX is now part of ITA.

ITA owns Greene Turtle, which has more than 30 locations and was once a tenant of McHenry Row, as well as Clarks Crew BBQ, which started in Oklahoma City. Brands in the ITAโ€™s Founder Growth Program include RegionAle, Neo Pizza + Taphouse, Cypriana, and Madrid.

CHX has its own house-recipe for its hand-made chicken tenders that will come in three-, four-, and six-piece tender combos. The combos come with crinkle Cajun fries, Cajun vinaigrette slaw, a honey buttermilk biscuit, and CHX Sauce. CHX is partnering with Kneads, H&S Bakeryโ€™s retail bakery and cafe, on the biscuits.
