Apparently, the good people of Federal Hill have developed a mighty thirst — one that can only be quenched by an “all-natural, organic, vegan-friendly, and gluten- and dairy-free” juice bar. Pure Raw Juice (1401 Riverside Ave.) held its grand opening on Friday, and the only issue seems to be keeping up with demand. According to PRJ’s Facebook page, the hours have had to budge twice for emergency produce pickups.
In addition to fruit and veggie smoothies, Pure Raw Juice offers almond and cashew “milk,” cold-brewed coffee, tea, acai bowls, and oatmeal bowls.
According to an article at SouthBMore.com, health documentaries run on the television set, and proprietor Daniel Mckelvey is “always interested in talking about healthy diets with his customers.” So if you’re someone who knows the difference between a micro-nutrient and a macro-nutrient — and you’ve been looking for someone to geek out with — this may be the spot for you.
Pure Raw Juice is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
