The school year may have only just begun, but Kennedy Krieger Institute is already thinking about their beloved holiday tradition, Festival of Trees.
This year, the three-day event is back and brighter, taking place from Friday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
This family-friendly festival offers three days of holiday shopping, entertainment, and activities for all ages, and as always, hundreds of festively decorated trees. In fact, there will be more than 800 trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses designed by area businesses, community groups, schools and individuals.
These decorated trees have themes reflecting trends from 2025 like popular songs, movies, or personalities. How many Taylor and Travis wedding-themed items will there be? Ravens? Orioles? Old Bay? The new movie, โBaltimorons,โ or the surprise hit show on YouTube, โ3 Blind Miceโ? So many choices for themes!
Vendor village will have more than 100 artisans, crafts people, and small business owners for holiday shoppers to browse and enjoy. Of course, Santa will be on hand to discuss holiday wish lists and pose for photos with visitors, while rides, games, and crafts will keep the younger set busy and entertained.
Healthcare and Education Heroes Day are back by popular demand, taking place on Saturday, Nov. 29. People who work in healthcare or education receive a 50 percent discount on one ticket when they show a valid work ID, as the Institute delights in honoring people working hard to keep us healthy and learning every day.
Families can take advantage of smaller crowds and unlimited rides for kids at a special ticketed event: Reindeer Rise and Shine, taking place Sunday, Nov. 30 from 8โ10 a.m.
There will be a brand-new Saturday night party for adults ages 21 and older, starting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 29. โTinsel on Tapโ includes live entertainment, games, festive food and beverages, and lots of merry surprises! Look for more details about this special ticketed pop-up event on Kennedy Kriegerโs website in the weeks to come.
Tickets are discounted if bought in advance, and children under 4 are admitted for free. Visit the ticket page of the Festival of Trees website for the latest information on ticket sales.
