Baltimore got a visit from a giant slip ‘n slide earlier this summer, and apparently the city is now a proving ground for the business model. A second company with a water slide that can fit only in the streets is coming to town this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, the 1,000 ft. Urban Slide will set up on N. Eutaw St. near the corner of Dolphin St. There will be a total of three sessions, including a night session from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday.
As long as you buy tickets, you pretty much get the green light to slide through the streets. But there are a couple of exceptions, as organizers advise to leave selfie sticks and drones at home.
Back in June, Slide the City set up its own 1,000 ft. water slide near Lake Montebello. Competition, it seems, benefits those looking to cool off in the middle of the hot summer.
