The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is looking for the Nicest Kids in Town.
Ahead of its June staging of Hairspray, the BSO announced an open casting call for teenage singers and actors to partake in a couple classic scenes from John Waters’ tale of Tracey Turnblad. The orchestra wants actual Baltimoreans for supporting roles during “The Nicest Kids in Town” and patrons at Motormouth Maybelle’s record store.
The BSO’s Hairspray in Concert is set for June 3-5 at the Meyerhoff and in Bethesda. John Waters will be onstage during the performances.
