Family-friendly Halloween events usually donโt take place on All Hallows Eve itself, but on the plus side thereโs usually lots of cute kiddie costumes in one place. And, thereโs usually something for the adults that doesnโt involve knocking on doors, which, when you think about it, is pretty creepy in itself. A couple events are coming up this weekend.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Can Company in Canton is hosting its first Trick or Treat event from 1-4 p.m. The next day, Belvedere Square hosts its annual Trick or Treat event at the same time.
Along with trick-or-treating around the respective mixed use developments with carefully preserved old school charm, kids will have a chance to show off their getups in a costume contest, and the White Marsh School of Ballet is leading everyone in a donโt-call-it-a-flashmob dance to Michael Jacksonโs โThriller.โ Theyโre charging $5 to enter, but all proceeds benefit the Canton Dog Park or the Govans Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
