Four men in colonial attire stand at the front of the stage. The second from the left of the group has his arm raised with his thumb and index fingers pointing out. To the right of him, the man holds his fist to his heart. To the right of him (on the right most side) the man flexes one arm. The man on the left most side just stands with his side turned to the front of the stage (his back faces stage right). A group of other actors in beige cut-off shirts and pants with black knee-high boots are gathered behind the men, each with one arm outstretched in a fist and pointing away from the men.

If you’ve never seen the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton,” or you simply want to relive this Founding Father’s story all over again, don’t throw away your shot to watch a performance when it comes to Baltimore next spring.

Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also originated the starring role of Alexander Hamilton, the musical “Hamilton” will come to Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre from March 9-28, 2027. “Hamilton” last came to the Hippodrome in October 2022.

Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. this Thursday, Aug. 27.

Prices range from $63 to $286 per ticket. There will also be a lottery for 40 $10 seats for all performances closer to the engagement.

Each account will be able to purchase a maximum of nine tickets.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the Hippodrome’s website, in person at the Hippodrome box office at 12 N. Eutaw St., or by calling 800-343-3103.

More than a decade since it first debuted, “Hamilton” is still in high demand. Jeffrey Seller, the musical’s producer, urged audience members to purchase tickets only through official avenues to avoid overpriced or counterfeit tickets.

“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can,” Seller said. “There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Baltimore engagement should be made through the Hippodrome’s official website or app.”

Blending hip-hop, R&B, pop, and musical theater, Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. The show follows Hamilton’s journey from his early life as an orphan and immigrant to his role in the American Revolution and his efforts to shape the newly independent nation’s government as its first Secretary of the Treasury. The musical explores his relationships with figures such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Aaron Burr, as well as his marriage to Eliza Schuyler, weaving together themes of personal and political ambition, conflict, love, and legacy.

“Hamilton” won 11 Tony Awards, as well as Grammy and Olivier awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Lin-Manuel wrote the musical’s book, music, and lyrics. Thomas Kail is the director, Andy Blankenbuehler is the choreographer, and Alex Lacamoire provides musical supervision and orchestrations.

Scenic design is provided by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, and casting by Telsey + Company, Bethany Knox, CSA.

The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.
