Do you have what it takes to be the next big music star?

Hard Rock Cafe has launched Hard Rock Rising, a global music competition to serve as the springboard for an emerging artist’s career.

The grand prize: a recording session at Coke Studio L.A. Live, including flights and accommodation; a $10,000 cash prize; the opportunity to perform at Hard Rock Orlando; a two-night stay at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando with passes to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure; music distribution across all major streaming platforms; and an exclusive assortment of Marshall amplifiers and accessories.

“Hard Rock Rising gives us the opportunity to showcase the incredible musical talent right here in Baltimore,” said Katie Gupten, Sales & Marketing Manager at Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore.  “This competition is a real opportunity for our local artists to get discovered on a global stage.”

The competition will span 34 countries and 64 Hard Rock Cafes, including the chain’s location in Baltimore near the Inner Harbor.

Artist submissions are only open through Aug. 18, so you better move fast.

After that, local fans will vote to advance artists round by round. Fans will score each artist based on their musicianship, fan support, vocal talent, originality and stage presence.

There will be four live competition rounds running Sept. 2, 9, 16 and 23. The global winner will be announced Oct. 5.

Hard Rock International and Coca-Cola have teamed up to host the music competition.

Multi‑platinum, GRAMMY‑ and Juno‑nominated executive producer Rob Rettberg leads the Coke Studio team. The Los Angeles facility is home to a professional recording studio that is meant to help the winning singer‑songwriter, band or DJ build their career.

“This partnership taps into Hard Rock’s unparalleled reach and iconic stages while leveraging Coke Studio’s production expertise to transform talented musicians into the next generation of recording artists,” Rettberg said.
