The staff has been busy decking the halls at Port Discovery, and hope you’ll join them for a holiday tradition: Decorating the “gingerbricks” that make up a gingerbread train station with icing, candy and other goodies! Come Saturday, December 3rd join Port Discovery, in partnership with McCormick and Wegmans, to decorate gingerbricks that will help build a train station in celebration of the upcoming Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails! exhibit visiting Port Discovery in January. While you’re there, enjoy the monthly Healthy First Saturday event featuring informational tables from UMBC and special activities including a JHU Asthma Study, Fidos for Freedom (meet and greet with special helping dogs trained to assist humans), interactive science games and experiments, and more!

The festive atmosphere continues to December 10th, when there will be more Gingerbrick decorating! Everyone’s creations will be used to build the train station that will adorn the Port Discovery lobby for the holiday season. Also on December 10th, enjoy facepainting, music and dancing with Pam the Kindersinger, kids yoga, interactive plays, science games and experiments and much more!
