The Hippodrome Theatre decided to have some fun with theater fans in Baltimore by teasing the release of the 2026-27 season as a mood board on Instagram and inviting people to guess which shows will grace the stage next year.
SPOILER ALERT: We already knew that one Tony-nominated show would launch its national tour from the Hippodrome in Fall 2026, so no credit for that one if you are a regular Baltimore Fishbowl reader. Other Baltimore Hippodrome fans on Instagram are having fun throwing their guesses out on the social media app based on the clues on the board.
Commenters range from confident to stumped after a week of guessing. The collage includes Clorox bleach, a bagel and a schmear, a line of bathroom stalls, a photo of wrapped gifts, walls of books, and more.
Most often guessed shows include “Heathers,” “Maybe Happy Ending,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Readers will have to visit the post to see more guesses, as this author does not want to take the fun out of anyone else’s chance to read the comments and/or participate in the game.
The theater will unveil its line-up on Jan. 15, so fans have less than two weeks to hazard their guesses.
