Courtesy of Citybizlist -Johns Hopkins University is one of the 20 most expensive colleges in America, according to Business Insider, citing figures from the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Hopkins ranked 7 overall, with $55,742 for tuition, fees, room and board in 2011-21012, a 3.8 percent increase from last year. Hopkins was the tenth most expensive university in 1990, when tuition cost $22,200, including room and board.
For the current year, Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y. was the most expensive private college, with annual tuition and room and board costs totaling $59,170, a 3.1 percent increase over last year.
