928 Fell Street, Baltimore.

Hot House: Waterfront Townhouse in the Heart of Fells Point. Best View in Town! 3 Beds/3 Baths. 2,524 Square Feet. Asking price: $1,250,000.

What: As you sail out from the Harbor to the Bay, one of the things you might see is the historic Fells Point waterfront. Just to the immediate east of that is a row of several new townhouses, with gardens in their front yards, and porches overlooking the water. They have always been favorites of mine, and they donโ€™t come for sale very often.

But this charming townhouse on Fell Street is now on the market. It has three beds and three baths, and three levels, and a one-car garage, plus space for another car. Although logistically, you would enter the house on Fell Street, the โ€œfrontโ€ of the house actually faces the harbor. With a tiny, gated flower-filled front yard, columned porch and brick porch, it would be at home in the middle of the county, except for the amazing view.

As you enter through the ground foyer, adjacent to the garage, there is a family room/bedroom/guest suite with a full bath and access to the porch overlooking the water. The second floor is where the living happens.

The living room has hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace and beautiful moldings. From the living room, you can access a private balcony. The dining room is lit with a custom chandelier and leads directly into the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen features a classic farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar and wine cooler. It opens to the second-floor balcony where you can watch the boats coming and going, admire the Domino Sugar sign and enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

The third floor features two bedrooms and two baths. The primary bedroom has a wood-burning fireplace, walk-in closet, laundry and a luxurious bath with a skylight, glass walk-in shower and heated floors. The second bedroom has water views, and an adjacent bath with a soaking tub. The attic is currently unfinished but could be remodeled into the room you choose.

Where: This house is in the heart of Fells Point and has one of the best views in the city. Itโ€™s close to everything โ€“ restaurants, galleries, nightlife, and history. Itโ€™s a few blocks to the amenities at Harbor East. As mentioned, there is a one-car garage, plus an additional parking space or two in front of the garage.

Final Appraisal: This is one of a very, very few actual water-front homes in Baltimore City. Sitting just feet from the water, it is the perfect place to watch the world go by. It has so many conveniences, especially the parking, that youโ€™ll never want to leave!
