This week is full of fireworks in Baltimore – both in the sky and on plates around town. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in the restaurant world:

Openings & announcements

Tavern at the Admiral in Fells Point will reopen in its newly remodeled space on July 3.

Brendali Italian Ristorante in Federal Hill is now officially Santino Ristorante – still Italian and with the same chef but under a new name.

Chef Cyrus Keefer has a new endeavor in the works: From Rome. With Honey. While some details, such as ordering platform, have not yet been announced, the idea is simple: excellent Italian food available via delivery from his home.

Mr. Bill’s Terrace Inn is about to open a new carryout outpost in the former home of Little Lou’s in Rosedale.

Daily Grind is set to open a location in Baltimore Peninsula. Eggspectation has also been added to the upcoming BP lineup of restaurants.

Baltimore magazine reports that Sacré Sucré is launching dinner service hours this week.

Two local powerhouses are coming together, as Elkridge-based Saval Foods has acquired Pastore’s Italian Wholesale Distributor, the purveyor of Italian specialty goods, including the Pastore family-owned Sun of Italy brand.

Speaking of local powerhouses, Atlas Restaurant Group is continuing its growth on a national scale. The Baltimore-based company just announced a partnership with SūDā Investments, on a new riverfront development project in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Congrats to the Foraged community

Foraged and its chef Chris Amendola are the subject of an Emmy-winning documentary. Renee Fischer, the filmmaker behind “Forager,” took home a Capital Emmy this week for the film, which is available to stream on Maryland Public TV.

Founders’ Choice release at BSC

On Saturday, Baltimore Spirits Company is releasing an extra-special whiskey: its 2025 Founders’ Choice Second Edition. The whiskey has been aged for over five years in Sauternes wine casks and promises to be intriguingly complex.

Joyeux Anniversaire to Petit Louis

Petit Louis turns 25 this week and is celebrating with a big Sunday afternoon fête. The Roland Park restaurant, which is beloved as both a neighborhood spot and a special occasion destination, will host a fun ticketed event with passed hors d’oeuvres, special cocktails, and – most likely – many memories shared.

Café Campli going away sale

As the Café Campli team winds down in Baltimore and prepares for the big move to Italy, they are selling off the restaurant’s retail items and small wares. On July 2 and 3, the restaurant will be hosting a two day sale – from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

July 4th plans

Friday is Independence Day – and there are a lot of ways to celebrate here in Baltimore.

Cross Street Market is celebrating the 4th with a 4th of its own: the 4th annual Hotdog Eating Contest. The Cross Street party starts at 10:30 a.m. and features live music, drinks vendors, kid-friendly activities and lots of hot dogs.

Cinghiale is hosting a pop-up pizza party for the holiday, starting at 4 p.m.

The Bygone is a prime location for viewing the fireworks. The space will be open for a la carte dining and drinks and has a six-course chef’s tasting menu available, too.

At Sagamore Pendry Baltimore, there will be a big party on the Pool Deck featuring classic American 4th of July fare with an upscale twist (think Wagyu burgers and housemade crab chips). The event, which will offer great views of the fireworks, will also have a DJ and games.

Charleston will be serving a special Champagne picnic menu in the Palm Room. The meal, which starts with passed hors d’oeuvres, is timed to end just before the fireworks begin.

Cindy Lou’s Fish House also offers a terrific fireworks view; tables on the patio are available to reserve.
