COPT made headlines when they proposed building four new towers on the waterfront in Canton. But it turns out the development is even bigger than that. In a presentation today, the Columbia developers said they want the development to include 13 buildings, a marina and more.
According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the development would feature 1.1 million sq. ft. of office space, retail and food options and a 200-boat slip marina. One of the buildings would be a hotel, according to the preliminary plans presented to a city committee on Thursday.
The property would be next to the CareFirst (formerly First Mariner) Tower, near Canton Crossing. According to the Baltimore Sun, developers now see it as “kind of manifest destiny” that they build in Southeast Baltimore.
