The Hunting Ground celebrates five years.

This may be hard to believe, but as of this week, Hunting Ground has been in business five years. The vintage fashion boutique in Hampden celebrates its fifth anniversary on Friday in the same place it started, but with a brand new look.

In 2012, Hunting Ground revived an old church on Falls Road just north of The Avenue. Known for its well curated vintage offerings for both men and women and thoughtful selection of independent lines and accessories, the shop is a favorite among Baltimore shoppers. For those craving a blend of new lines and stylish vintage clothing while supporting a local, female-run business, Hunting Ground offers a one-stop solution. Shopping for vintage clothing without the frustration of scouring overcrowded thrift store racks for hours is priceless, and from the beginning, the little boutique has had a loyal following in Baltimore.

Hunting Ground will celebrate year five on Saturday, April 8, with an all-day party inside and outside the shop. From 3 p.m. until dusk, Hunting Ground will feature a “Meet the Makers” trunk-show style event with a gathering of the independent artists who the store represents. The boutique itself has been recently updated for spring, with fresh renovations and new inventory. Along with the festivities, shoppers will get 15 percent off all items in the store.

Food for shoppers will be provided by Clavel and beer from Union Craft Brewing just down the hill in Woodberry. Following the sale, the day will lead into a nighttime dance party featuring local DJs. It should be a celebration to match the stamina of most five-year olds, and a birthday party you won’t want to miss.

Hunting Ground celebrates its fifth anniversary on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 3 p.m.-dusk. The shop is located at 3649 Falls Road.
