The Walk Off: an Old Bay Roma sausage in a pretzel roll covered in crab dip

Camden Yards’ Opening Day is this Friday when the Orioles play the Twins, and they’re celebrating with some bizarre, but mostly still ballparky menu items. If any of our readers are going to the game, you’ll have to tell us how these culinary monsters taste.

They’ve got a hotdog with bacon on a stick and pulled pork called the Triple Crown Sandwich. It sounds like it will probably taste pretty wicked, but pork + pork + who-knows-what is kind of a no-brainer. What sounds the wildest to me, is the Walk Off, which places an Old Bay Roma sausage in a pretzel roll and tops it with crab dip. Crab dip waffle fries will also be available, as will a chocolate stout cupcake.

The most out-of-character offerings come from the TAKO-Korean stand, which will be serving multiple vegetarian and even gluten-free options.

Unfortunately, I’ll be watching the game from home, so I’ve got a day to try to cob together my own decadent Old Bay inspired dishes — you know, for that classic ballpark experience.

  2. There’s one really exciting concession between Sections 29-32 that not only sells healthy food, it is owned and operated by the Choice Program to employ and provide both job and life skills training to disadvantaged and delinquent youth (
