Comedian John Oliver is coming to Baltimore in December, just in time to help celebrate the new year.
His tour โJohn Oliver Liveโ will make a stop at Lyric Baltimore on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.
Oliver is the host and producer of HBOโs โLast Week Tonight with John Oliver,โ which has won 23 Primetime Emmys, five Writerโs Guild Awards, and many other honors. Before that he was a correspondent on โThe Daily Showโ (2006 โ 2013) and won three Primetime Emmys for his writing on the show. Oliver also was The Daily Showโs guest host for two months in 2013.
Oliverโs comic roots are in stand-up comedy, and throughout his television career he has continued to perform to sold-out venues around the world. He hosted four seasons of his own stand-up series, โJohn Oliverโs New York Stand-Up Showโ (2010 โ 2013) on Comedy Central and before that, he starred in the stand-up special โJohn Oliver: Terrifying Timesโ (2008).
The multitalented Oliver also voiced the character Zazu in Disneyโs โThe Lion Kingโ (2019) and had a recurring role in the NBC comedy โCommunityโ (2009-2014). He also had roles in multiple films and television shows, including โBig Mouth,โ Paramountโs โWonder Park,โ โThe Detour,โ โBob’s Burgers,โ โDanger Mouse,โ โThe Smurfs,โ โThe Smurfs 2,โ and โRick & Morty.โ
