Comedian John Oliver is coming to Baltimore in December, just in time to help celebrate the new year.
His tour “John Oliver Live” will make a stop at Lyric Baltimore on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.
Oliver is the host and producer of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” which has won 23 Primetime Emmys, five Writer’s Guild Awards, and many other honors. Before that he was a correspondent on “The Daily Show” (2006 – 2013) and won three Primetime Emmys for his writing on the show. Oliver also was The Daily Show’s guest host for two months in 2013.
Oliver’s comic roots are in stand-up comedy, and throughout his television career he has continued to perform to sold-out venues around the world. He hosted four seasons of his own stand-up series, “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show” (2010 – 2013) on Comedy Central and before that, he starred in the stand-up special “John Oliver: Terrifying Times” (2008).
The multitalented Oliver also voiced the character Zazu in Disney’s “The Lion King” (2019) and had a recurring role in the NBC comedy “Community” (2009-2014). He also had roles in multiple films and television shows, including “Big Mouth,” Paramount’s “Wonder Park,” “The Detour,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Danger Mouse,” “The Smurfs,” “The Smurfs 2,” and “Rick & Morty.”
