John Oliver makes a stop at Lyric Baltimore.

Comedian John Oliver is coming to Baltimore in December, just in time to help celebrate the new year.

His tour โ€œJohn Oliver Liveโ€ will make a stop at Lyric Baltimore on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.

Oliver is the host and producer of HBOโ€™s โ€œLast Week Tonight with John Oliver,โ€ which has won 23 Primetime Emmys, five Writerโ€™s Guild Awards, and many other honors. Before that he was a correspondent on โ€œThe Daily Showโ€ (2006 โ€“ 2013) and won three Primetime Emmys for his writing on the show. Oliver also was The Daily Showโ€™s guest host for two months in 2013.

Oliverโ€™s comic roots are in stand-up comedy, and throughout his television career he has continued to perform to sold-out venues around the world. He hosted four seasons of his own stand-up series, โ€œJohn Oliverโ€™s New York Stand-Up Showโ€ (2010 โ€“ 2013) on Comedy Central and before that, he starred in the stand-up special โ€œJohn Oliver: Terrifying Timesโ€ (2008).

The multitalented Oliver also voiced the character Zazu in Disneyโ€™s โ€œThe Lion Kingโ€ (2019) and had a recurring role in the NBC comedy โ€œCommunityโ€ (2009-2014). He also had roles in multiple films and television shows, including โ€œBig Mouth,โ€ Paramountโ€™s โ€œWonder Park,โ€ โ€œThe Detour,โ€ โ€œBob’s Burgers,โ€ โ€œDanger Mouse,โ€ โ€œThe Smurfs,โ€ โ€œThe Smurfs 2,โ€ and โ€œRick & Morty.โ€
