Regarding his cameo in the upcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, filmmaker and trash-culture icon told the Baltimore Sun that the mischievous rodent has “always been [his] mentor.” But it goes a little deeper than that.
In an interview with Details in 2008, Waters was asked whether he had any “normal” fascinations.
“I do love The Chipmunks,” Waters said. “I’m erotically obsessed with Alvin. I talk about that on my Christmas show, how I wanted to have sex with Alvin and the Chipmunks.”
Waters then revealed that a “real animator” had recently drawn him “one” (a picture? an animated sequence?) of Alvin in a very private moment. “One of the best presents I ever got,” he said.
Gee, with all that tension, I sure hope Waters’s on-screen interaction with the animated chipmunk isn’t too awkward.
