Regarding his cameo in the upcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, filmmaker and trash-culture icon told the Baltimore Sun that the mischievous rodent has โalways been [his] mentor.โ But it goes a little deeper than that.
In an interview with Details in 2008, Waters was asked whether he had any โnormalโ fascinations.
โI do love The Chipmunks,โ Waters said. โIโm erotically obsessed with Alvin. I talk about that on my Christmas show, how I wanted to have sex with Alvin and the Chipmunks.โ
Waters then revealed that a โreal animatorโ had recently drawn him โoneโ (a picture? an animated sequence?) of Alvin in a very private moment. โOne of the best presents I ever got,โ he said.
Gee, with all that tension, I sure hope Watersโs on-screen interaction with the animated chipmunk isnโt too awkward.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip opens in theaters today.
