Olszewski announced in May of last year that he would seek a second term.
The Democrat took over the seat in Baltimore County in 2018. He has enacted police reform measures, championed public campaign financing, and overseen the countyโs COVID response.
โWeโve made record investments in education, made our government more open and accessible than ever before and are leaning into the values of equity and sustainable โ embedding them in our decision-making across county government,โ the county executive tweeted Thursday.
Olszewski is the only candidate to publicly announce that he is running for county executive so far.
