We heard about Larry Hogan’s grueling second round of chemotherapy treatments, and we heard that the prognosis for his recovery from cancer is now looking better. On Tuesday morning, we got to see Maryland Governor Larry Hogan following the treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The newly bald Hogan posted a picture on Facebook. Characteristically, some self depecration belied the difficulty of the treatment. From the post:
It looks like there is another white dome in the Annapolis State House! Thanks to my treatments, I’m sporting a new aerodynamic look. I’m saving time not having to wash or comb my hair, and I don’t even need to shave my face!
Hogan joked about “losing his locks” even as he made the announcement that he was diagnosed with the aggressive form of cancer. He seems to be already embracing it.
“So yes – the new look is a bit of a shock at first, but to me, bald is beautiful!” he wrote.
It appears official duties haven’t gone by the wayside. Also on Tuesday, Hogan was named chair of the National Governors’ Association’s economic development committee.
