Platinum-selling rapper Logic, mega-producer Diplo and Norwegian DJ Kygo will head up the party at this year’s Preakness InfieldFest, the Stronach Group announced today.
Following the buzz of his first several mixtapes, Gaithersburg, Maryland-born Logic ascended the charts in 2017 with the album “Everybody,” on the strength of the Grammy-nominated hit single “1-800-273-8255.”
And Diplo, who’s worked with everyone from Skrillex to M.I.A. to Jennifer Lopez, ought to be familiar to anyone who’s followed Baltimore club music or, you know, listened to pop music over the last decade.
Rounding out the bill are DJ Frank Walker, rapper Juice WRLD and Australian producer FISHER. Additionally, regional dance music promoter Club Grow will host a VIP Lounge amid the festivities.
“This year’s InfieldFest lineup brings the excitement of the race track to the stage and encourages a new generation of race goers to experience The Preakness Stakes,” Jimmy Vargas, executive vice president of entertainment at the Stronach Group, said in a statement.
Now in its 10th year, InfieldFest is expected to draw 20,000 attendees to the middle jewel of horse racing’s Triple Crown for the music and bottomless Mug Club beers.
Tickets are on sale now and range from $59-$199. The Preakness Stakes is scheduled for May 18.
