Local artist Luann Carra brings her unique style to the Lord Baltimore Hotel for the latest installment of the Good Taste art exhibition series.

The exhibition will mark the final part of the 2025 series, opening Oct. 1 and running through the end of December.

Titled โ€œRe Do,โ€ Carra’s exhibition is โ€œa celebration of natureโ€™s splendor featuring waves, trees, horses, mermaids and fish brought to life through an imaginative mix of mirror, tile, glass, found objects and love,โ€ according to the press release. Her work demonstrates beauty in transforming everyday materials into mosaics inspired by the magic of nature.

The artist is well-established in Baltimoreโ€™s creative community. She previously won the Lord Baltimore Hotelโ€™s annual Couture Tree Competition, the contest where many artists begin planning their designs months ahead of time, combining holiday foliage and decorations with fashion.

Carra is an upcycle artist who attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and opened her first gallery in her Fells Point home. She curated and exhibited the work of fellow local artists along with her own, amplifying the importance of community and connection in addition to art. Her current art studio is above that gallery where she still creates mosaics, paintings, and fashion pieces.

The Lord Baltimore Hotel is owned by the Rubell Family, avid art collectors who delight in showcasing emerging artists. The hotel has 2,500 original works of art throughout the guest rooms and public spaces. In 2018, the hotel launched โ€œGood Taste,โ€ a rotating art exhibition series that highlights local artists. Some of the pieces have been added to the hotelโ€™s permanent art collection.

There will be an opening reception for the Good Taste Art Exhibition Series Featuring Luann Carra, โ€œRe Do,โ€ on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 5โ€“7 p.m. at LB Bistro & Bakery in the Lord Baltimore Hotel. All artwork is available for purchase.

Admission to both the exhibition and reception are free. The reception will feature free light fare and discounted beverages.

The Lord Baltimore Hotel is located at 20 W. Baltimore St.
