A malfunctioning parachute left a man hospitalized after he leaped from a 160 ft. crane in White Marsh.
According to Baltimore County police, David Mazik of King City, Oregon, leaped from the crane at a construction site in the 8200 block of Town Center Drive on Monday night. It seems like a stunt, as he had two GoPro cameras strapped to his helmet.
As he was descending, Mazik’s parachute didn’t fully deploy as planned. He landed on a steel box. Police said his current condition is unknown.
Mazik works for the construction company that is building on the site, and was authorized to be there after hours.
