Correctional officers at every Maryland state prison have now been outfitted with body worn cameras as part of a statewide initiative aimed at increasing safety and accountability inside correctional facilities.

The state entered into a 10-year contract with Axon Enterprise Inc. to provide the technology, costing taxpayers $4.1 million dollars annually.
