
The Maryland Department of Health has donated 50 portable ventilators to help treat patients at front line hospitals in Ukraine who have been wounded during the Russian invasion, Governor Hogan announced Monday.
โThe State of Maryland continues to stand in solidarity with President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine,โ Governor Hogan said in a statement, โWe are proud to make this donation to help save lives and aid the Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression.โ
The health department donated the ventilators to the Paul Chester Childrenโs Hope Foundation, a grassroots medical organization that provides medical assistance to individuals and families in developing countries.
The 50 Astral portable ventilators will depart the United States today and are scheduled to arrive in Ukraine later this week.
