Swings in climate, as well as tariffs, regulations and the high price of farmland are making this a challenging time for those who work in Maryland’s number one commercial industry, agriculture.
The Maryland State Fair in Timonium gives agriculture its annual chance to show off. There’s been horse racing, competitions, food, rides and goofy contests.
But beyond the fun and games, Gov. Wes Moore said farmers feel under consistent assault. Speaking recently at the fair, the Democratic governor took aim at the Republican Trump administration.
