Maryland’s state education department has partnered with TEACH.org to launch a new online platform for recruiting and supporting the next generation of educators.
From high school students to individuals changing careers, the new TEACH Maryland platform will help aspiring educators explore the teaching profession and find the right path for them.
Recruitment efforts and other investments in teachers are part of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which aims to transform the state into a leader in public education.
TEACH Maryland will provide guidance, resources, scholarships, and personalized support for those looking to enter the teaching profession.
Some of the free resources offered through the platform include:
- Step-by-step guides to earning a license
- One-on-one guidance from Maryland educators
- Test preparation support
- Financial aid and scholarship information
- Connections to local teacher preparation programs
- Help applying to programs and teaching roles
- Articles, videos, and insights into the profession
TEACH.org is a national nonprofit working to address the teacher shortage in the United States; strengthen the teaching profession; and provide tools, guidance, and other support for aspiring educators.
