Maryland Opera has announced its 2024-2025 season, which will open on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Redeemer on Charles Street in North Baltimore.

The opening performance will be โ€œMorte e Vita,โ€ fully staged and costumed, featuring the final acts from Pucciniโ€™s โ€œLa Bohรจme,โ€ โ€œMadama Butterfly,โ€ and โ€œManon Lescaut.โ€

โ€œSounds of the Seasonโ€ will be a holiday-themed program featuring two internationally renowned singers along with alumni of the Maryland Opera Summer Camp in a variety of operatic and holiday favorites on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at Boordy Vineyards in Hydes, MD and Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at St. Markโ€™s Lutheran Church. Tickets are $18-$34.

In 2025, Maryland Opera will honor the contributions of generous supporters of the arts with its โ€œHeritage Series.โ€ On Feb. 16 at 3 p.m., Mahin Shamszad & Homayoon Farzadegan will be honored at at Grace United Methodist Church at Charles Street and Northern Parkway. On March 16 at 3 p.m., Susie & Sam Macfarlane will be celebrated at The Church of the Redeemer at Charles Street and Melrose Avenue.ย Repertoire will feature three singers in grand opera and operetta repertoire, semi-staged and accompanied by a chamber orchestra.ย Tickets are $18-34.

Maryland Operaโ€™s final performance of the season will be Georges Bizetโ€™s โ€œCarmenโ€ performed in its entirety, fully staged and costumed with orchestra and an international cast of singers.ย Performances will be April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Redeemer.ย Tickets are $29-$96.
