One tweet, Salisbury TV station WBOC was calling it a โperfect dayโ for viewers to download their weather app. The next, it was claiming to be ISIS.
On Tuesday morning, the stationโs website and Twitter account were hacked and filled with pro-ISIS propaganda. On Twitter, the person went by the handle, @CyberCaliphate. They posted comments like โI love you ISISโ and โThere is no law but Sharia!โ But itโs not completely clear the writers of the tweets know where they are:
The station was able to get control of its website, but the Twitter account remained hacked. According to the station, the same hackers hit the Twitter account of the Albuquerque Journal, based in New Mexico, on New Yearโs Eve.
