WBOC

One tweet, Salisbury TV station WBOC was calling it a โ€œperfect dayโ€ for viewers to download their weather app. The next, it was claiming to be ISIS.

On Tuesday morning, the stationโ€™s website and Twitter account were hacked and filled with pro-ISIS propaganda. On Twitter, the person went by the handle, @CyberCaliphate. They posted comments like โ€œI love you ISISโ€ and โ€œThere is no law but Sharia!โ€ But itโ€™s not completely clear the writers of the tweets know where they are:

The station was able to get control of its website, but the Twitter account remained hacked. According to the station, the same hackers hit the Twitter account of the Albuquerque Journal, based in New Mexico, on New Yearโ€™s Eve.
