The number of Marylanders hospitalized with COVID-19 declined by 15 to 212 current hospitalizations.
Of those currently hospitalized, 152 are in acute care and 60 are in intensive care.
The number of acute care patients dropped by 12 while the number of intensive care patients declined by three.
To date, Maryland has recorded a total of 43,503 coronavirus-related hospitalizations.
At least 461,097 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,530,038 have tested negative as of Friday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
State officials reported 113 newly confirmed cases, raising Maryland’s COVID-19 caseload by about 0.02%.
A total of 9,459 Marylanders have died from COVID-19, with nine additional deaths reported since Thursday. There are also 218 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.
Maryland has completed 10,585,917 coronavirus tests to date, with 18,988 test results reported in the past 24 hours.
An average of 0.91% of the state’s COVID-19 tests over the last seven days came back positive.
The average has remained below 1% for three consecutive days after dipping to 0.95% on Wednesday and staying there on Thursday.
The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 0.96% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 0.87% for Marylanders older than 35.
A total of 3,117,688 Marylanders have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data showed on Friday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday reported that 71.5% of Marylanders age 18 and older have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
Of the two-dose vaccines, Maryland has administered a total of 3,322,655 first doses and 2,872,341 second doses.
In the past 24 hours, providers have administered 13,113 first doses and 29,903 second doses.
Maryland providers have also administered single-dose vaccines to a total of 245,347 people, including 1,112 doses that were reported in the past 24 hours.
As of 10 a.m. Friday, there have been 85,295 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 71,033 in Montgomery County; 65,798 in Baltimore County; 52,996 in Baltimore City; 43,877 in Anne Arundel County; 19,803 in Frederick County; 19,275 in Howard County; 16,609 in Harford County; 14,632 in Washington County; 10,916 in Charles County; 9,507 in Carroll County; 7,703 in Wicomico County; 7,027 in Allegany County; 6,315 in Cecil County; 6,039 in St. Mary’s County; 4,230 in Calvert County; 3,672 in Worcester County; 3,002 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,844 in Dorchester County; 2,616 in Somerset County; 2,348 in Caroline County; 2,169 in Talbot County; 2,041 in Garrett County; and 1,350 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.
Of Maryland’s confirmed cases, 26,048 are people age 9 or younger; 47,568 are people ages 10-19; 84,520 are people ages 20-29; 78,997 are people ages 30-39; 68,678 are people ages 40-49; 68,606 are people ages 50-59; 45,684 are people ages 60-69; 25,080 are people ages 70-79; and 15,916 are people age 80 or older.
Maryland has identified 241,213 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 219,884 as male.
Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 143,396 are Black, 11,331 are Asian, 162,970 are white, 69,888 are Hispanic, 21,581 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 51,931.
Nationwide, there have been at least 33,427,288 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 598,756 deaths. The U.S. has administered 305,474,378 coronavirus vaccine doses to date as of 10 a.m. Friday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
