Scott, along with the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW), Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs invite residents to be part of this yearly citywide effort to beautify neighborhoods and build community pride. Individuals, volunteer groups, and community groups can register now by calling 3-1-1 or visiting the mayorโ€™s Spring Cleanup page.

โ€œCleanup days are my favorite days of the year, because theyโ€™re an opportunity for all of us to come together and take pride in our neighborhoods,โ€ Scott said in a statement. โ€œThe Spring Cleanup helps us make Baltimore cleaner, greener, and more beautiful as we prepare for warmer weather. I encourage residents in every neighborhood to roll up your sleeves and join your neighbors in this citywide effort.โ€

โ€œThe Mayorโ€™s Spring Cleanup underscores the critical role that collaboration plays in building clean, healthy neighborhoods,โ€ DPW director Matthew Garbark said in a statement. โ€œWhen residents, volunteers, and City employees work side by side, we strengthen not only our communities but also the relationships that support them year-round. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to neighborhood engagement and demonstrates the meaningful impact we can make when Baltimore comes together with a shared commitment to keeping our city clean.โ€

Individuals and groups are encouraged to register now, as the registration period ends on April 18, 2026. In addition to calling 311 or visiting the mayorโ€™s Spring Cleanup page, people can register online at the 311 website. Groups and businesses can also sponsor a predetermined mayoral site location โ€“ providing volunteers and/or snacks for that location โ€“ by filling out a sponsorship form ahead of time.

Communities and residents who register their plans to participate can request debris removal when they register. City trucks will be scheduled to visit designated locations on cleanup day, with bags of trash picked up after 1 p.m. Individual residents participating are encouraged to register and ensure their bags are placed out with their regular trash collection.

Residents who sign up for individual or blockwide cleaning can receive up to five Spring Cleanup bags. Community groups and neighborhood associations that register in advance can request up to 50 bags. Those registered for the Spring Cleanup can pick up their bags from now until April 20 at these locations:

  • 2840 Sisson St., 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday
  • 111 Kane St., 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday through Friday

Participants must provide a service request number when picking up their bags. If residents choose to dispose of the trash they collect at the Residential Drop-Off Centers, they must adhere to the centersโ€™ guidelines, which do not allow commercial vehicles. During the cleanup event, DPW will not collect bulk trash or roll-off dumpsters.
