Not Moses.
Not Moses.

In the home of the Terrapins, a missing turtle is making headlines.

CBS Baltimore reports a Catonsville woman is in “Shell Shock” after her pet turtle went missing. Gloria Todd has had the slider turtle for 78 years, but the pool beside her house where she lived now sits empty.

She is reportedly “concerned about sharing too much of his personal information,” but threw in a detail that Moses is the size of a lunch plate.

In a cruel twist of fate, Todd starting putting Moses outside after the vet recommended he get more sunlight. Todd believes he may have been stolen, as turtles would have a tough time climbing out of the kiddie pool. There’s also the fact that he probably didn’t get away too quickly.

Whatever happened, Moses lived up to his namesake in terms of longevity. PetCo says red-eared slider turtles normally live 20-40 years.
