A new documentary series showcasing the heart and hustle of Baltimoreโ€™s Team Thrill Girls AAU Basketball Program (2030-2032) premieres on YouTube on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.

In โ€œWe Are Thrill,โ€ filmmaker and storyteller Keisha Boston Gallagher takes the audience through the teamโ€™s season of tournaments, practices, and personal growth โ€” as they prepare for the iconic TFNโ€™s Run 4 Roses Basketball Tournament in 2026. Viewers start with the final tournament of one season and follow the team through the championship stage of the next season, highlighting the hard work, guidance, and life-changing relationships that takes them there.

Viewers get a front-row look at the sisterhood that shapes and develops between the young athletes to help them succeed on and off the basketball court. Coach Qiana Cheatham plays a pivotal role as leader, mentor, and conduit of love for the game. She is out to mold not only players, but strong, confident young women ready to go after their dreams.

โ€œI love basketball, but seeing it through my daughterโ€™s eyes changed everything,โ€ Gallagher said. โ€œWatching how Coach Qiana pushes these girls while protecting their confidence inspired me to tell their story. โ€˜We Are Thrillโ€™ shows the late school nights, tough practices, tears, and small victories that people donโ€™t see โ€” itโ€™s raw, real, and filled with hope.โ€

Gallagher is a filmmaker, a mother, and a lifelong basketball lover. In 2021 she won the Flip the Script filmmaking competition for her multi-award-winning short film, โ€œHard Sale.โ€ Her latest short film, โ€œThe Bluesโ€, won Best Drama Short at the New York Movie Awards.

The themes covered in โ€œWe Are Thrillโ€ are wide-ranging. They span from empowerment through sports to breaking gender stereotypes, community building to health and wellbeing, the impact of Title IX and policy changes to diversity and inclusion in youth sports. The series is not just young female athletes or people in the womenโ€™s basketball community. People in the educational community, parents, families, advocates for equity in sports, and documentary lovers alike will find something in this series for them.

โ€œI want people to walk away inspired ยญโ€” to believe in girlsโ€™ sports, to support programs like Team Thrill, and to see how basketball can shape confidence, community, and lifelong dreams both on and off the court,โ€ Gallagher said.

The series premieres on the YouTube channel Aunt Pat Productions on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
