Nick Mosby, who has said he is “seriously considering” a run for mayor, is planning an announcement this weekend.

The 36-year-old City Councilman, who is the husband of State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, sent an e-mail to supporters with the tagline, “The Best Choice for Baltimore.” The rest of the message says nothing about running for mayor, but makes it clear he’s made a decision of some sort:

“We’re at a crucial crossroads, where we can succumb to the challenges facing Baltimore or elevate this beautiful city, maximizing all its great potential. I know the path I’m taking. Will you join me?”

He’ll make the announcement at 2 p.m. Sunday at Madison Park North.

Stephen Babcock is the editor of Baltimore and an editor-at-large of Baltimore Fishbowl.

  1. I just get nervous about that much consolidation of power, especially given Baltimore’s penchant for cronyism… Where’s Wes Moore??
