All furniture, lighting and art 40% off. New merchandise arriving weekly.

After 33 years in business in the Baltimore area, Steve Appel and Lee Whitehead, co-owners of Nouveau Home and Interior Design, are closing their award-winning retail store at 10 West Eager Street in the City’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. From now until August 23, 2019, they will be holding an “Everything Must Go” sale with all furniture, art and lighting 40% off and home accessories 25% off.

Throughout the summer, Appel and Whitehead will also bring in new merchandise from a variety of their long-time vendors. Customers can expect to see the latest furniture, lighting, accessories, and giftware arriving in store weekly. New merchandise will be posted on Nouveau Home’s Facebook page.

“The store looks beautiful and we are refreshing it weekly with the types of merchandise we have become known for – unique upholstered pieces and lighting, stunning art, and hip accessories and giftware,” says Appel. “We want to go out on a high note by continually offering our customers new items for their homes, apartments and offices until our store closes.”

In the meantime, Nouveau’s design studio, headed by lead designer Appel, will continue to provide interior decorating services and consultation to residential and commercial clients.

Nouveau is open seven days a week. Store hours are available by calling the store at (410) 962-8248, or by visiting Nouveau online at http://www.nouveaubaltimore.com or on Facebook.

“We are grateful for the outpouring of support we have received since we announced our closing,” says Whitehead. “It’s been our pleasure and privilege to work with so many customers from Baltimore and beyond and to help them decorate their homes and businesses over the past three decades.”

ABOUT NOUVEAU HOME & INTERIOR DESIGN: Nouveau was founded by childhood friends Steve Appel and Lee Whitehead as a boutique in Howard County’s historic Savage Mill in 1986. They relocated the boutique and expanded it to a full-fledged store, Nouveau Contemporary Goods, at 519 North Charles Street in the City’s Mount Vernon neighborhood a year later. In 2004, Nouveau relocated to north Baltimore’s popular Belvedere Square, where it opened an in-store design service and earned its reputation as Baltimore’s premier contemporary furnishings store. The perennial Best of Baltimore award-winning small business, now called Nouveau Home and Interior Design, moved to the City’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood in 2015. For more than three decades, Nouveau has served thousands of residential and commercial clients throughout the region, with a dedication to customer service and a mission to make Baltimore more beautiful, one home and one business, at a time.
