Courtesy citybizlist – There are storms brewing in Boards of Education around the region. The most recent squall is in Prince George’s County. It revolves around who owns the teaching materials created by teachers. The school or the teacher? We should care how this debate plays out on a number of levels, from ensuring that our kids get the best, most creative and engaging lessons as possible, to increasing the pressure on improving the quality of our education system, whether from the school administration or from entrepreneurially driven teachers. Oh, and perhaps to have the most active, engaged and creative teachers in our classrooms and not fleeing them…
