SARASOTA, Fla. — Two days into spring training, the Orioles added an accomplished starting pitcher, signing right-hander Andrew Cashner to a two-year, $16 million contract.
The news was first reported by MASNsports.com and confirmed by an industry source.
The 31-year-old Cashner, who is 42-64 with a 3.80 ERA in eight major league seasons, has pitched for the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Miami Marlins and Texas Rangers.
