The Peabody Institute is one of the nation’s top music schools, so you know their pianos are top-notch.
Thanks to a deal with Yamaha, the school has a plethora of pianos, most under a year old, that they’re looking to sell to the public. They include everything from baby grands to digital pianos to interactive player pianos. The school sells off these (barely) older models to raise money to buy even newer pianos–which, presumably, will be available for you to buy at next year’s sale.
This year’s sale is scheduled for August 13. To preview the instruments on offer, you’ll have to fill out a contact form and make an appointment. Or just stop by 21 East Mount Vernon Place on Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
