For those who wondered if anyone would go there and dress up as Ray Rice for Halloween: It’s not even Halloween yet, and someone did.
The person responsible for the costume dressed up as the former Ravens star who ignited a nationwide debate over domestic violence after he was seen knocking his wife out in an infamous security tape. To add extra offense, he adorned his get-up with a blow-up doll.
The source of the photo was traced to a Reddit post that included the photos and the single statement, “My friend came to the party as Ray Rice.” The person photographed, who hasn’t been identified, was quickly dubbed an idiot who perpetuates misogyny and makes a joke out of domestic violence, and the person responsible for the “worst thing you can dress as this year.”
But there’s one silver lining. Since the picture of the costume was released a full 10 days before Halloween, it offers an excellent opportunity to remind everyone: Don’t dress as Ray Rice for Halloween.
